Refugee camp in Sudan & Ethiopia

A water supply network has been installed in the Abuda refugee camp in Eastern Sudan, which 3,688 refugees can use. The donation from EARTH Concepts has also enabled them to purchase various facilities in the Shimelba refugee camp in Ethiopia.

The capacity of this refugee camp is 10.000 people. Refugees from Eritrea arrive daily, with the current number of 16.000 refugees the maximum capacity has been exceeded. By constructing pumping stations, generators, water reservoirs, distribution systems and water taps the number of drinking water and sanitary facilities has been significantly expanded.
